Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs hopes to raise millions in tax from the construction industry, and have drafted in admin staff and Status Inspectors to scrutinise contractors' accounts.  As a PCG member you are automatically insured against the risk of HMRC conducting a tax investigation on your business, which would cost you a lot in professional fees.

Construction of Olympic venue gets green light
Construction work to build a new venue for the London 2012 Olympics has been given the green light after plans for the building were approved.

The independent planning committee for the Olympic Park has given the go-ahead for the Aquatics Centre, which will feature swimming and diving facilities for the event, to be built.

HSE is 'adequately resourced'
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has been described as "adequately resourced" by the Home Builders Federation (HBF).

Dave Mitchell, the body's technical director, made the comment when discussing the House of Commons Work and Pensions Committee's recent report on the role of the safety organisation.
